Update: first draft is finished!

Finally! After 8 long months, I finally finished the first draft of Project Song. I know 8 months is a long time, so you don’t have to tell me, but at least I didn’t give up. Hold your judgment because I’m not slowing down anytime soon. I feel things might pick up now that the hardest part is out of the way.

I promised a title reveal and I still plan to give it to you. I have a few working titles that I’m tossing around and one that I just came up with that I want to let marinate in my head. I’m so indecisive and the title is one of the moment important elements of a book. I need time to find one that I’m happy to stick with. Once it’s announced, I can’t take it back.

My Title ideas:

• Summer’s Song

• The Music Box

• The Soul Cafe

I have another one that’s so silly and baffling that I will not reveal it, but I’m legit thinking about it. These three options have sat with me for months, but none of them seem to fit perfectly.

I’m also thinking about what the cover art should look like. Should I heavily focus on typography? Illustration covers seem to be pretty popular in romance novels lately. My first two books display real people. I still cringe, looking at my second book. The cover of Half-Blood, my first novel, was done professionally before Amazon disbanded Createspace. I did Ripper myself and I plan to do the same this time. I have a degree in graphic design, so you bet your butt I’m going to those thousands of dollars to use in the best way I know how!
